Private Lessons

Students enrolled in Private Lessons are enrolled for and committed to the full length of the school term. Students are automatically enrolled for the following term unless they give notice prior to the beginning of the next term.

Group Classes

Students are enrolled in Group Classes for a semester (2 terms). Group sessions run for 8 weeks of each term (total of 16 weeks each semester).

Payments

A $20 fee deposit is required when creating your Music Mates account. This is credited towards your first terms invoice.

Payments are due in advance for the term prior to the commencement of the first lesson. This is a requirement for both Private Lessons and Group Classes.

All payments must be made through the Music Mates website student portal or via EFT. A 2% charge applies to all transactions made with credit card. Music Mates Teachers do not accept payment at lessons.

Accounts that fall into arrears will have their lessons suspended

Session Attendance & Make-Ups

Group Classes

Due to the nature of group sessions no makeup lessons are able to be issued due to sickness, absenteeism, school closure or scheduling conflicts.

Private Lessons

Lessons can only be rescheduled, not cancelled or refunded. In order to reschedule a lesson, at least 24 hours notice is required. Less than 24 hours notice of non attendance due to scheduling conflicts, school closure, sickness or absenteeism will be charged as normal. Notice must be given in writing to admin@musicmates.com.au. Letting the teachers know via text or email is not sufficient.

Teacher Absence

In the event that a teacher misses a lesson due to sickness, a substitute teacher will be sourced. If a suitable substitute teacher cannot be found, the lesson will be rescheduled to a make up day or the amount credited to the account

Public Holidays

Music Mates does not conduct lessons on public holidays and lessons scheduled on these days will not occur and will be credited back to your account.
